We have an immediate opening for a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to help provide exceptional patient care at a childrens' rehabilitation hospital located in Canton, MA.  The Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children is a pediatric chronic care hospital that provides primary care, rehabilitation and behavioral health services to patients affected with disabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure safe, appropriate, cost effective drug therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Interpret drug orders (verbal and written) and transcribe to computerized patient medication profiles accurately
  • Assist with pharmacokinetics consult service and drug dosing per hospital protocol
  • Maintain accurate, complete pharmacy patient medication profiles.
  • Complete all assigned medication storage area inspections in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy
  • Build and nurture relationships with physicians and nursing

 

 

What You Will Need 

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher
  • Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in resident State or eligible to reciprocate
  • Two plus years hospital experience preferred but not required
  • Courteous, professional service to patients, visitors and staff
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
