Join our team of talented healthcare professionals! CompleteRx has an opening for a Pharmacy Buyer/ Inventory Manager who will be responsible for procuring medications and supplies from appropriate sources and ensuring proper storage to maintain their quality and integrity.  Ideal candidates for our Inventory Manager position will have large scale purchasing and budget experience.  Inventory size is $20-$30 million.  


Facility Overview:

The State Office for Pharmacy Services (SOPS) provides complete pharmacy services for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Department of Mental Health, and various other state agencies.  This position is located at the SOPS Administrative Building in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.  Hours are Mon - Fri 8am-5pm.

What You Will Do

  • Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders 
  • Procures or facilitates the procurement of medications for patients as prescribed by a licensed professional to ensure proper patient treatment/care at all times
  • Uses a system to maintain proper level of goods together with historical and experiential knowledge Controls spending in order to keep expenditures at or below pharmacy budget
  • Prevents avoidable drug stock-outs
  • Explains all pharmacy purchasing related questions with accuracy and acquired knowledge.
  • Provides one cost saving idea to their Direct Report annually
  • Follows and encourages compliance with the CompleteRx, Ltd. Team Covenant to promote a working environment that attracts and retains talented, committed employees


What You Will Need 


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Registered as Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in good standing
  • Current PTCB Pharmacy Technician certification required
  • Current State Board registration
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3 years as certified pharmacy technician in an inpatient hospital setting
  • 2+ years of previous pharmacy buying experience
  • Experience with automatic dispensing machines; barcode scanners; repackaging machines; carts/trays/bins
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience utilizing wholesaler purchasing systems
  • Prior experience with USP 797 regulations
