Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Informatics, the Pharmacy Operations Specialist (OS) will travel to CompleteRx partner hospitals throughout the country to implement projects related to account openings, account exits, automated dispensing systems, packaging systems, data set builds, sterile products training, and custom projects as assigned.  The Pharmacy Operations Specialist also assist CompleteRx hospital partners with critical staffing levels by filling the role of Interim Buyer or Interim Informatics Manager, or interim technician as needed.

What You Will Do

• Act as subject matter expert responsible for implementing pharmacy related projects
• Conduct sterile products training on aseptic technique, 797 compliance, chemotherapy preparation
• Facilitate rapid cycle process improvement events utilizing plan, do, study, act methodology
• Prepare workflow maps, collect data, document procedures and training manuals
• Function as an automation specialist by managing min/max levels, reviewing RX auditor reports, and reconciling discrepancy reports 
• Implement project deliverables for:
  • New account openings 
  • Inventory preparation
  • Account exits
• Assist with automated dispensing system projects such as:
  • New system installs
  • Existing system upgrades
  • Existing system reconfigurations/optimization
  • Decommission existing systems

What You Will Need

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• 3 years experience as pharmacy technician with National Technician Certification
• Past hands on experience with some form of automated dispensing technology (i.e. Pyxis, Omnicel, Accudose)
• 80%-100% overnight travel (4 nights per week on average). Travel will be overnight in hotels, with flying and some driving involved. Occasional week-end work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
