Staff Accountant

CompleteRx is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Houston, TX!  As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for properly recording financial business activities through the accounting process so that accurate information is presented in the financials.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Staff Accountant will plan and lead the following: month end close process, preparation for the annual audit including PBC’s while gathering information and support for auditors' request.  You will be responsible to meet accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews.

What You Will Do

• Provide constant customer-service standards, resolving problems and identifying system improvements.
• Assists the Accounting staff in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Supports annual audit by providing information to auditors.
• Responsible for all contractual billings for the organization.
• Ensures timely and accurate monthly close as well as maintenance of all accounting ledgers including monthly preparation of most all account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assists Accounting staff with local and state business filings.
• Preparation of all periodic financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows, as well as the year-end financial reports for internal and external parties.
• Preparation of questionnaire responses and gathering of information or annual commercial insurance renewals.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience as Staff Accountant.
• Previous A/P, A/R and account reconciliation experience.
• Experience utilizing general ledger systems - experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
• Background in Public Accounting preferred.
