Hospital Overview: 

Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center has served the communities for over 67 years providing excellence in healthcare services.  GCRMC is an acute care medical center with additional licenses for 12 inpatient rehab beds and 38 psychiatric beds.  The medical center is a non profit accredited by DNV.  

 

Work Schedule

  • This position will provide coverage as needed during the week and weekend shifts on the outpatient pharmacy.
  • Pharmacy Hours: Monday - Friday, 8A-6P / Saturday and Sunday, 10A-4P
  • Flexible work schedule.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure safe, appropriate, cost effective drug therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Interpret drug orders (verbal and written) and transcribe to computerized patient medication profiles accurately.
  • Assist with pharmacokinetics consult service and drug dosing per hospital protocol.
  • Maintain accurate, complete pharmacy patient medication profiles.
  • Complete all assigned medication storage area inspections in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
  • Build and nurture relationships with physicians and nursing.

 

What You Will Need 

  • Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher.
  • Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in resident State or eligible to reciprocate.
  • Two plus years experience preferred but not required.
  • Courteous, professional service to patients, visitors and staff.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
