What You Will Do

Medication History Technician

• To provide pharmaceutical services to the patients of the Hospital under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist who makes available unit dose medication, and IV admixtures.
• Work involves quality assurance, ordering, inventory control, and related duties.   

Pharmacy Technician

• To provide pharmaceutical services to the patients of the Hospital under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. 
• Assist the Director with administrative issues relating to support staff: training, performance reviews, and communication. 
• Compounds sterile products such as epidurals and other items requiring additional training.

What You Will Need 

Requirements:

Medication History Technician 

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.  
• Prior to conducting any activity related to Medication History, current Registered Pharmacy Technician license in New York State is required within six months of hire.
• Possess current National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician or ED Tech preferred. 

Pharmacy Technician

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.  
• Possess current Registered Pharmacy Technician license in New York State
• Possess current National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Prior pharmacy technician experience or other related healthcare field, preferred. 
• Keyboard and computer experience helpful. 
• Must be capable of minor algebraic and mathematical calculations.  
• Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course preferred
